I don’t know about you, but I feel good when I watch a good rom-com or romantic drama. Who doesn’t love love right?! And with Valentine’s Day around the corner, I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to share my list of Romantic Movies To Watch on NETFLIX. I’m pretty obsessed with Netflix, & watch mostly when I’m cleaning, washing dishes, or while I’m working on my laptop (watching on either my projector or iPad).
These are just a few of my favourites, I’d love to hear what your favourite romances are so please leave a comment down below.
Just Go With It (2011)
If you love a good laugh, then Just Go With It is for you. I love Jennifer Aniston in this movie. Hey, I’ve always been Team Jen! Lol. It’s cute, & funny but also romantic. And of course we love a happy ending!
Favourite scene: When Daniel & Katherine are in the hotel corridor & they’re all flirty with each other.
Genre: Romantic Comedy | IMDB: 6.4/10

Pride & Prejudice (2005)
This Jane Austen adaptation is a classic, & is my personal favourite. I watch Pride & Prejudice almost once a month. Don’t judge lol. The story of Elizabeth Bennet & Mr Darcy is one that will always be with me. I love it! He’s rich, she comes from a modest background & they’re drawn to each other even though they shouldn’t. The film is set in the 19th century so, if you don’t mind a period film then you have to watch it.
Favourite scene: When he epically fails at proposing to Elizabeth but says “I love you. Most ardently.”
Genre: Romantic Drama| IMDB: 7.8/10

To All The Boys I’ve loved Before (2018)
I watched To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before for the first time when I was alone in Milan last year. It was a day or so after it was released & I had heard everyone raving about it. After I watched it, I felt butterflies. The movie is based off a book by Jenny Han, which I had honestly never heard of before. I guess I was living under a rock because everyone else knew about it. There’s a bit of high school drama but it’s cute & fun. And the music is great too.
Favourite Scene: Definitely the hot tub scene.
Genre: Teen Romance | IMDB: 7.3/10

The Holiday (2006)
I’ve watched The Holiday twice now, & every time I watch it I am filled with hope. The movie is about 2 single women going through it in their love lives. The ladies swap houses in different countries (Los Angeles, USA and Surrey, UK) & essentially find love. I personally love the Jude Law & Cameron Diaz story line because I think it’s very real. Jude Law being a single parent to his 2 girls & not sure how to navigate dating & all that. Jude Law is also soooo handsome so it makes it super easy to like his character. Also, men with kids are even more attractive. Why am I like this?!
Favourite Scene: When Amanda (Cameron Diaz) shows up at Graham’s (Jude Law) house unannounced & meets his two adorable daughters. They are so cute, & exactly what you’d expect from little girls of that age.
Genre: Romantic Comedy / Drama | IMDB: 6.9/10

Ibiza (2018)
This is probably the most relatable movie on the list for me, because it’s set in a way that most single, career girls can relate to. I love Harper & how awkward she is. I also LOVE Robb Stark haha / DJ Leo West (Richard Madden). I love that you can feel the electricity through the screen when they first meet in the club. I also love the funny moments between the 3 friends, which are also super relatable. In every group of friends there’s going to be different personalities. I love how they’re just out to have fun & enjoy Spain. If this doesn’t make you want to take a girls trip with your friends then what will?! the soundtrack is amazing from this movie. I downloaded to many songs from the club scenes especially.
Favourite Scene: When Harper tracks Leo down in the club in Ibiza & they meet again.
Genre: Romantic Comedy | IMDB: 5.2/10
