As always, I am sharing my Kylie Cosmetics addiction with you all. I am still very much a fan of the brand. I know people have lots of mixed feelings about the brand, & you’re absolutely entitled to have them. But, I have really grown to enjoy it. I love the liquid lipsticks. And the Posie K gloss is one of my most worn lip items ever. I don’t always purchase when there are new releases, because not everything that launches is “my style”. I’m a 28-year-old woman, & some of the products are what I would call “too young” for me lol. Other times, I simply just have no desire to purchase the products. This was the case with the first KOKO Kollection. However, when the 2nd KOKO Kollection was launching, I decided that I would try it out.

I have done some research on the local IG boutiques that resell Kylie Cosmetics and where I could find pricing, I have offered a comparison.
- Kylighters vary in price from R590 – R745.
- Lip Kits vary in price from R690 – R799.
- KOKO Lip Set is about R1250.
Taking into consideration that these IG boutiques are running businesses, & the reason they add a mark up is because they have to charge you for their time, processing of your order etc. If they have a website, there are costs that come with that too. This is why there is a mark up. I get it. But whenever I think about, I just feel like “Is it not easier to do it yourself?”
I often get asked to resell the Kylie products. It’s something I genuinely feel bad about. But could I actually do it? I’m not so sure.
My online store has taught me many things. One of the biggest lessons I have learnt is that dealing with people is not easy. I’m talking customers purchasing for eg. an over the knee skirt, but returning it because they thought it sat above the knee – please note this item is photographed & it’s clearly visible on the model’s body that it sits over the knee & no where near “above the knee”. Also, even if I did resell it, I would also need to add a mark up for website fee, processing etc. Yeah perhaps I could make it a better deal as opposed to the R1250 being charged for a KOKO Lip Sets I paid R695 & R730 for. I don’t know, lots to think about. Also, these Kylie prices are varying because of customs, shipping etc. If things worked out more expensive, would it still be viable?
If you’ve read my previous posts, you can see that I am getting the products much faster than before. It was taking me about 30 days from the time it was shipped from Shipito. This is because I was shipping the products via Economy Airmail. This meant it came in the post. This was the longest option, but the cheapest one, which is why I chose it. Now, I am using the Aramex option which is also very cheap, but takes a week to get to my door. That’s pretty awesome right? Another cost that I am not paying with Shipito is the Delivery Insurance fee. I am just not selecting the option, & therefore saving money that was previously being added in the cost of my Kylie products.
As always, I hope you’ve enjoyed this post.

I love this video and your honesty in all your posts and videos about products. I think Doll really suited you well, which wouldn’t work for a lot of other people. Sugar Plum is my favourite though. Side note: Which lashes do you use?
Lashes are by ON Q Makeup in CT.
They’re the style FIERCE 🙂
Doll is a lovely colour
Doll is a lovely shade
I ordered the lip collection after the second restock and selected airmail economy, but I’m rather impatient as it is my first order from Kylie Cosmetics. Its great to know that there are other affordable options to use in future. Thanks for sharing your purchasing tips.
Yeah, same. When I realized it I was so excited, because now we don’t have to wait as long, & it comes straight to my door.
Call me crazy but I really like the “Baby Girl”, I’d probably say I am in love with the “Bunny” colour though – I tend to go for more neutral colours, but “Baby Girl” is definitely up there for me. I have never even tried to purchase any of the Kylie products because I honestly thought they were impossible to get. Thanks so much for the tips ❤ definitely going to give it a try.
I got my Koko lip set through Aramex today. I am conflicted about the gloss. That hint of shimmer is a bit of a downer for me.
Hey Brett Robson! I’m new to your blog but have been loving this post as I’ve ordered Kylie lip glosses too and have been VERY curious about the costing! Quick question – they mailed it to you snail mail style? I’m using a post box courier and I have been charged R600 tax. So just wondering how you avoided customs tax and I’m thinking it’s due to snail mail & not courier? Would love to hear your thoughts. Thank you 🙂
I often visit your website and have noticed that you don’t update it often. More frequent updates will give your page higher rank & authority in google.
I know that writing content takes a lot of time, but you

Your point of view caught my eye and was very interesting. Thanks. I have a question for you.
