Let’s talk hair removal girls. What do you do to keep yourself tidy? Personally, I am undergoing laser on my underarm & bikini area; I shave my legs; & I use hair remover on my arms. But this past week, I have been experimenting with epilating on my legs & arms. What’s the experience been like? Read below to find out every detail.

What is an epilator?

An epilator is basically a giant tweezer. Hahaha no really. The Panasonic ES-EU20-p epilator has 24 tweezers that removes the hair simultaneously from the root.

My 1st Epilator Experience:

I tried the Panasonic Wet/Dry Epilator for the first time a week ago. I epilated my arms, because I have neglected them for a while now. My arm hair was a at least 0.5cm – 0,75cm – Gross I KNOW! But I get lazy ok. Anyway, I used the Panasonic Wet/Dry epilator on my arms a week ago. I opted for the wet method, because I was curious about it. The ‘wet’ method is pretty cool. All you do is run the epilator under water, do the same for the area you would like to epilate (the arm in my case), & then you place a dollop  of your favourite shower gel in there & it starts to foam up – very cool I won’t lie.

Yikes, my first time was no joke. I have 3 tattoos, all in pretty painful places, but this was quite a pinch. I would rate the pain at least a 5 out of 10. Not that bad, but definitely a pinch that would make you sit up straight.

My Epilator TIPS:

  • Charge your epilator over night.
  • Always run your epilator in an upward motion, against the hair growth.
  • Exfoliate a day before you epilate, & a few days after you epilate too
  • Go slow, I found that when I moved faster it felt worse as opposed to when I moved slower.

Why I like the epilator?

I like this method of hair removal because it is similar to waxing in the sense that it takes much more time for your hair to grow back as opposed to shaving or hair removal cream. This is such a bonus because that means you don’t have to worry about that area of your body for a while. I also believe the epilator is bang for your buck, because it will last you years. Once you charge the epilator for 15 hours, you’re good to go for a long while.

The Panasonic Wet/Dry 3-in-1 Epilator also comes with a detachable shaver head, which I tried on my legs.  This function is basically that of an electric shaver. Fun right? Fun indeed for me. I really enjoyed the electric shaver function because I could dry shave.
