I remember purchasing this dress in Dubai a few months ago. The aim was to wear it to an event in Johannesburg – that didn’t happen. Instead it lay in my closet for a few more weeks, until I pulled it out just for the sake of wearing it on the blog. Because let’s be honest – if it’s not on Instagram did it even happen?
While out shooting with Jerome, I couldn’t help but think of Solange in a similar style dress at her wedding. Now while I love this dress – her dress was beyond amazing. The whole event actually. And while I paraded around wearing this little beauty, I also found myself thinking of what my bridal style may be. Could this be the kind of dress I would wear? Quite possibly yes. I am a person of extremes. Big wedding or elope. Vera Wang (budget) or dress like this very one. Red lips & a smokey eye or gel liner & nude lips.
And while I am by no means ready for marriage. Nor have I found someone to even start to think of such things with. As I laughed, & walked, & posed in my version of the modern bride, I couldn’t help but wonder.

I used to know exactly what I wanted for my wedding one day but the closer I get to possibly having a wedding the more unsure I am. As long as I am sure of the person then I will probably be a bit nontraditional and impulsive when it comes to my attire or perhaps I will go down the whole princess route. Dammit Brett now I am even more confused!
Haha dilemma aside, I love this outfit!
