South Africa is on full lockdown due to the Corona Virus pandemic that has brought the world to a halt. From our initial 21 day lockdown, we have just been informed of a 14 day extension. Pretty hectic, but in comparison to some places that have been indoors for much longer it’s nothing.
I am doing my quarantine alone in my apartment, so in a way being able to vlog the experience is a way for me to be social. I probably come across as quite boring but I was just going about my time as ‘normal’ if that makes sense. I also did a ton of cleaning. WOW! The cleaning never ends. I also discovered Tik Tok. Well truth be told, I didn’t just discover it. I’ve had the app for a while, but I never saw myself creating any content.
What I like about Tik Tok is that it’s fun & laid back. Instagram can often feel like a world of pressure. I by no means have a curated feed or plan my posts in advance. But I do still think twice before posting to my feed. Tik Tok is so chill. I am really enjoying watching the content, but I am also enjoying creating my own content. If people like it, great. And if they don’t like it, that’s ok too. I’m just having fun. And now during uncertain times, a little fun is a good idea.
