I like to think of myself as a fashionista; someone that inspires others. But even I have days where I have no clue what to wear. Or I simply just feel uninspired. I have been collecting style inspiration for 2019 since late 2018. I’ve had Pinterest boards & a SAVED folder on Instagram to help me keep track. Personally I prefer to use Pinterest because you can also find images similar to the one you’ve saved; and that essentially helps you fill your board with so much more amazing imagery.
I was searching for a way to style my SBR Lakshmi Animal Printed Leggings & the Jasmine Animal Printed Bodysuit, so I went to my trusty Style Inspo 2019 pin board & found this image below. The thing about having inspiration is that it should simply serve as a spark for you. You can work with what you have in your closet & take 1 or 2 elements from your inspiration source.
Having a source of style inspiration at the beginning of a new season is also great for shopping. Instead of aimlessly spending money on fashion, you can shop based on the outfit ideas in your inspiration folder. And once you make the fashion purchase, you can look for even more ways you can wear it. I am spending so much less money on fashion since adopting this way of thinking & shopping.
Here are some images of how I interpreted the above look by Caroline Daur at NYFW Spring 2019. How do you think I did?
