Urban Decay Meltdown Makeup Remover Cleansing Oil Stick

This product is an oil-based make-up remover in the form of a solid stick. You apply the product directly to your face & it transforms into a lather when you splash a little water on it. This is a similar concept to the Clinique ‘Take The Day Off’ Balm (I have a DEMO video here), except in better packaging. This stick form is so handy, & great to travel with because it won’t break.

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water – Sensitive 

I feel like this product needs no introduction. I have gone through countless bottles of ALL the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Waters. I love the Oil-Infused, however it does not come in travel size. But I also love the Pure Active cleansing water, so it may be safe to say I am bias here. Again, the packaging is plastic, but this is a great product too. Clarins Bight Plus Night Cream | R700

I try to keep the amount of products to the minimum, so I often only carry one moisturizer for my face. I know you must be shook by that, but it’s true. I like to take a night cream rather than a day cream because I find night creams to be richer. Also I use SPF under all my day creams (even if they too have SPF in them), so instead of taking 2 face creams, I opt for the one. I use the night cream with SPF under it during the day. And at night I use it on it’s own. I have been loving the Clarins Bight Plus Night Cream because of how hydrating it is. Since trying this product out a few months ago, it has become a MUST-HAVE in my travel bag. Flying can really take the moisture out of your skin, & using a product like this serum when flying helps keep your skin hydrated. BUY here | REVIEW HERE

L’Oreal Revitalift Filler Renew Hyaluronic Replumping Serum (Eye Cream) | R299

I love this eye cream because it keeps my under eye area looking plumper. I use this product in the morning before I apply moisturizer to my face. The metal tip also acts as a bit of a wake-up call when the chill touches the skin. When I travel, I do not take more than 1 eye cream, even though my daily routine does include 2 (morning & night). I prefer to travel with this one because it’s also great to throw in my in-flight beauty bag. BUY here

Urban Decay Urban Defense SPF30 Complexion Primer | R600

I love to use this primer under my moisturizer. I will say it again, SPF is important in any daily routine. Not only is it helping protect your skin from harmful rays, but it also helps to fill your pores. I like the silicone formula; it just melts beautifully into the skin. I have used this with many products on top of it, & I find that everything lays on top of it well. Eucerin Even Brighter Spot Corrector | R219.95

I use this product in my night-time skincare routine. The concentrated formula absorbs into the skin very quickly, & I can layer up the rest of my products without having to wait very long. Dark spots are not something I feel I struggle with, however I do have them. BUY here

Garnier Pure Active 3-in-1 Face Wash

This is a must in my travel skincare routine because it can be used to cleanse, exfoliate, & also as a mask. Even though I have changed up the skincare products I use in my daily routine, when I travel I tend to opt for products like this that are going to be convenient. I am fortunate that I do not have problematic skin, so changing it up every now & then is no issue. This is a travel-size item which is a plus as well. REVIEW HERE

Clarins Instant Light Lip Comfort Oil | R295.00

This is a Top 3 lip care product for me. I have been using this non-stop since my last trip to China in June.  It is great for keeping your lips hydrated & smooth. I am a daily Benefit Ka-Brow! user, & normally spend about 20 minutes on my brows alone. However, when I am traveling I opt for a more simple, less structured / perfect brow. I aim to spend 5 minutes max. on the brows, so I prefer to use products in pencil form. I find these to be give a more natural brow look with little effort. Revlon’s launch of the Colorstay Brow Pencil was a lovely surprise this past July. I have been waiting for them to drop a product like this for a while now. I use the shade Soft Brown which is perfect for me to achieve a natural looking brow. This brow pencil is great because it is angled at the tip which allows for precision when filling your brows in. I also do love that one side has a brush. Remember ladies, it’s all about brushing out your brows while you work on them. BUY here

Benefit Cosmetics Goof Proof Brow Pencil | R165 – R335

This has been a GO-TO product in my make-up bag since it’s launch. I use the shade #3 which is great for a natural looking brow. And it is so easy to use as well. I love the consistency of the Good Proof pencil. It is not too creamy that it melts on your face, but not too hard that it hurts when using it (I have tried some products that actually hurt!). NYX Professional Make-Up Love Contours All Palette | R354.95

This palette from NYX has been one that I travel with regularly. This palette is absolutely worth the price tag because it comes with 9 eyeshadows, 2 brow shades, 2 highlighters & also 2 contour shades. If I wasn’t as EXTRA as I am, I would carry nothing but this. The highlight shades are so bomb! I am a BIG fan of the golden shade to highlight. It’s LIT! Also, considering the affordable palette price tag (most palettes are upwards of R800+), the eyeshadows are amazingly pigmented & also blend like a dream. BUY here

Urban Decay All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray

This product is a BASIC as far as I believe.I have been using the All Nighter setting spray for many years now & it literally makes my make-up last all day. I don’t usually travel with a 118ml bottle, but I’ve just run out of my travel-size. Guangzhou can be extremely humid, & it’s only a product like this that can save my face make-up from melting off. I use this even when I have barely any make-up on. It is a MUST-HAVE in any make-up collection. REVIEW HERE

STILA CC Cream

This CC Cream  initially belonged to my mother, & I tried it once. After that, I was obsessed. On days when I don’t feel like wearing foundation, but want to wear something – this is my GO-TO. I apply the product with my hands, as it comes out green & changes colour as it is worked into the skin. The Stila CC Cream also has an SPF20 which is a bonus! I use the shade WARM.

Maybelline FIT ME Matte & Poreless Foundation | R99

This product needs no introduction. I am pretty much in love with it. I have been using this foundation since May & it is perfect. It is a mattifying foundation that also helps reduce the appearance of pores which is a plus! At my age, pores are becoming a problem! I’ve been trying this concealer out for a little while now, & I am loving it. I often mention my dark under eye area because it is problematic for me. I use this concealer when I am going to gym or when I have a bare face. Because it is a sheer coverage concealer it applies a lot more natural looking & blends seamlessly into the skin. It is perfect when you want to look a little put together, without having to wear foundation. I use shade #2. BUY here

Urban Decay Self-Adjusting Complexion Primer | R450

This is another gem from Urban Decay that I am in love with. This complexion primer is great under any foundation & even on it’s own (dependent on skin tone). I love that it has a color-correcting formula which adjusts when you put it on your face. It also makes the skin feel very smooth & allows for foundation to sit beautifully on top of it. Urban Decay NAKED Skin Concealer | R395

This is an OG in my make-up bag because I’ve been using it for years now, & I have not given up on it. Unlike the Benefit Boi-Ing Hydrating Concealer which gives a sheer finish, this is the concealer I use when I am using foundation or CC Cream. I love how lightweight it is, & how it covers up my dark circles. My shade is Med-Light Neutral. BUY here

Maybelline Master Fix Setting + Perfecting Loose Powder | R169.95

I recently tried this loose powder & have been pleasantly surprised that I like it. I have been reaching for this daily & that’s a good way to gauge my affection for it. It is translucent but does not leave a white cast. I use it mainly on my under eye area, to set concealer. It really melts beautifully into the skin because of how fine the powder is.
